As a young man Gazzy tries to save the life of a dying witch, after she was left to die by murderers from a rival coven.
He later discovers the witch blessed, or cursed, both he and his sister Lori with all her magickal powers, including mind-blowing shape-shifting abilities.
Gazzy and Lori also discover they have inherited the witch's order
of supernaturally undead warriors called the Raven Knights. They are murdered souls
held eternally captive in either a medieval knight's armor or the body of a raven. The specters cannot rest in peace until the witches killers are discovered and her murder avenged.
