Poetry Month Gone Dark: Coralie Rowe’s Bloodied Masses

Coralie Rowe
Coralie Rowe’s Bloodied Masses

The tide has turned, now they fall
Demonic creatures victorious
Bodies lay spent
Blood seeps
Gore lies upon the ground
Arms and legs have been rent
Intestines flow Slimy silvery snakes
Oozing rancid defecations
Coating the landscape
A macabre imagery
Of twisted moaning piles of flesh

Part corpses of the severed
Try to claw and crawl
Dragging, a blood slick trail
The sound of agony
The screams of annihilation
Carry clear in the crisp air
The heat of battles dies
Along with the dissipating heat
Of the bloodied masses

The blood hazed crowd
Watching this violence
Howl for more
Jeering as one almighty monster
They are unrelenting, one voice
MORE .. MORE.. MORE

The killing field is cleared in haste
The dead and dying
Stacked atop another
A tilted pile of flesh and bone
Marbling together

The writhing mob grows impatient
Awaiting the next installment
Of blood curdled screams
The demolition of bodies
The dissection of life
This gruesome game
Perpetually plays on

Coralie Rowe is new to the writing scene.  Previously being a baker by trade, now a mum. Rowe found an interest in writing poetry, and has been published in several horror anthologies recently.
